Design process
With these designs, I tried to focus most on looking at what parts of this subculture's style last, what's consistent. Old magazines and current social media platforms show what stays true to the people, what they value, and the identifiers of the style itself.
I found that layering, adjustability, versatility, and decorative accessories are big staples of the subculture. So I designed clothes that are interchangeable and easily adjustable, so they can be layered and work with an existing wardrobe—also, enough utility attachments for charms and keychains.
